Terms of use

Kutuverse is free, has no accounts, and is run by one person. These terms are deliberately short, and say what you can expect from it and what it expects from you. Using the site means accepting them.

What you are getting

A website with board and card games on it, offered as it is, for nothing. There is no subscription to the games, no paywall, and no promise that the site will be up when you want it, that a game will not end in an error, or that it will still exist next year. If it breaks in the middle of your game night, we are sorry, and that is the whole of the remedy.

Because games run between players' browsers, a table depends on the players' own connections at least as much as on us. A dropped game is often nobody's server's fault.

How to behave

The site has chat and voice, and it has no moderators, because your table's conversation never reaches us. What that leaves you with is this: do not use Kutuverse to harass, threaten or abuse anybody, to share illegal material, or to disrupt other people's games. Do not attack the site — no scraping the supporter endpoints, no load testing, no attempts to forge supporter codes.

The host of a room can remove anyone from it, and should. That is the moderation there is, and it is deliberately in the hands of the people at the table.

What you say, and what you send

Whatever you say to the other players is between you and them. We do not see it, do not keep it, and cannot produce it later.

Feedback you send us deliberately is different: by sending it you allow us to read it, act on it, and build what it asks for, without owing you anything for it. Do not send us anything you are not happy for us to use.

Supporting the project

Supporting Kutuverse through Kreosus is voluntary and buys cosmetics — table themes, a flair, a tag beside your name. It does not buy games, rules, advantages in play, or any say in what gets built. Every game is free to everyone whether anybody pays or not, and that is not going to change.

Payments, receipts and refunds are Kreosus's, under Kreosus's terms; we never handle the money. A supporter code lasts for the period it was issued for, renews while the subscription does, and is yours to use on your own devices — it is not for sharing or reselling. If you lose the code, Kreosus still has your payment, and we can issue another.

If the cosmetics change or a theme is retired, that is not a refundable failure; if the site shuts down, no further payment will be taken.

The games themselves

Every game here — its rules, its name, its text and its art — was written for this site. Some belong to genres you will recognise, which is how genres work, but nothing here is a published game and none of it is affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed from anybody. If you believe something infringes a right of yours, write to us and say which part, and it will be looked at properly.

You may play the games, teach them, stream them and record them. You may not pass the site off as yours.

No warranty, and what we are liable for

The site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost games, lost time, lost arguments, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the site.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything your local consumer law reserves to you. If you are a consumer in the EU or Türkiye, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this document.

Ending it

You can stop using the site at any time; there is no account to close. We can block somebody who is attacking the site or abusing other people, and we can stop running it altogether — with as much notice as we can manage.

Which law, and changes

These terms are governed by Turkish law, without displacing the consumer protections of the country you live in.

They may change; the date below says when they last did. If a change matters, it will be said plainly on the site rather than buried here.
